Voice Therapy & Training
For Adults and Teens (15+) |
Online in Toronto & Across Ontario

For voice concerns ranging from vocal nodules, hoarseness, and fatigue to clarity, strength, endurance, and performance.

Your voice is one of your most important tools. Whether you’re speaking, teaching, leading, or singing, it should work with you, not against you.

At SpeechAppeal, we provide online voice therapy grounded in clinical expertise and real-world voice use. Our clinicians are registered Speech-Language Pathologists and Voice Therapists with advanced training in clinical and medical voice therapy, singing pedagogy, and vocology.

We support both the health and performance of your voice, from recovering after strain or injury to rehabilitating diagnosed or suspected voice disorders, including vocal nodules and muscle tension dysphonia. We also train the voice by building strength, clarity, and endurance to support a voice that is reliable for everyday and professional use.

Recover and rebuild your voice. Your voice should feel easy, reliable, and expressive. When it doesn’t, everyday communication can feel disconnected or like a struggle. Our therapy supports both recovery and prevention, helping you use your voice with comfort and confidence.

Common concerns we support include:

Our clinicians regularly support individuals with medical voice conditions such as:

  • Vocal nodules

  • Vocal cysts and polyps

  • Muscle Tension Dysphonia

  • Puberphonia

  • Vocal fold injury recovery, paresis

Our sessions are always individualized, blending evidence-based voice techniques with practical strategies you can carry into real life. When appropriate, we also coordinate care and can work closely with ENTs, medical specialists, and singing teachers to ensure your voice rehabilitation is comprehensive and well-supported.

Voice therapy may also include elements of voice training, depending on your goals and voice needs. This focuses on optimizing your voice. Your goals might include building vocal strength, clarity, endurance, and flexibility, supporting a voice that feels consistent and sustainable in both personal and professional settings. We work with professional voice users including teachers, singers, lawyers, coaches, podcasters, and others who rely heavily on their voice and want to improve confidence, stamina, and vocal presence.

Common complaints we support:

  • Voice feels tired or strained after meetings or calls

  • Voice lacks fullness, warmth, or authority

  • Voice has limited flexibility, tone, or range

  • Inconsistent vocal quality

  • Reducing less desirable speaking habits such as speaking with persistent vocal fry (creaky voice) or using up-speak (when statements sound like questions)

Why We Use the Word "Training"

You do not need a referral or a medical diagnosis to begin. Voice therapy and voice training exist on a continuum. Therapy focuses on restoring healthy, efficient voice use, while training focuses on refining, strengthening, and expanding your vocal function and potential beyond your baseline. Both approaches are often used together to help you achieve a voice that feels strong, reliable, and aligned with how you want to sound.

Who is eligible? Adults and older teens (15+ with guardian consent) in Ontario are eligible to proceed. Clients must be in Ontario when attending virtual appointments. Do I need a referral to begin? No, a referral is not needed. You can book directly, starting with a free meet-and-greet or an intake session to discuss your goals.
