Alyssa McCarthy (she/her)
BA Mus., MSc SLP, SLP(C), Reg. CASLPO
Registered Speech-Language Pathologist, Voice Therapist
& Singing Voice Specialist
Gender Affirming Voice Focused
Alyssa
Alyssa (she/her) is fuelled by connection, creativity, and flexibility, and helping others find their voice is the “why” behind her work. She blends science, artistry, and coaching to support meaningful, personalized outcomes in voice therapy, gender-affirming voice training, and singing voice rehabilitation.
Before training as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Voice Therapist, Alyssa earned her undergraduate degree as a classically-trained soprano, taught singing lessons, performed professionally, including leading roles in musical theatre and pianist/back-up singer for indie rock/folk bands. After recovering from autoimmune-induced vocal injury, she discovered her passion for helping others navigate the challenges in voice and identity incongruence.
Alyssa went on to deepen her clinical experience in stroboscopic laryngeal evaluation, voice rehabilitation, singing voice rehabilitation, and gender-affirming voice.
Over the past decade, she has worked with hundreds of adults across Ontario and Nova Scotia, including extensive experience supporting Trans+ and gender-queer clients on their gender-affirming voice journeys. With a focus on exploration, play, and guided voice embodiment, Alyssa takes an individualized, creative approach to helping each person (re)connect with their voice.

Scott
Scott Tobin (he/they)
BA, BEd, MHSc SLP, Reg. CASLPO
Speech-Language Pathologist, Voice Therapist (ENG, FR)
& SVI-Trained Vocologist
Hailing from Newfoundland and Labrador, Scott (he/they) brings his East Coast charm and bilingual skills to Ontario, working fluently in both of Canada’s official languages. His early years as a teacher sparked a love for instruction and communication, which eventually led him to Speech-Language Pathology, where he could combine voice, linguistics, and performance.
Scott has always been drawn to voice therapy and gender-affirming care, believing that communication is central to personal identity. He is an SVI-certified vocologist, having trained at the Summer Vocology Institute to develop expertise in voice production, habilitation, and the performing arts. His background in music lessons, national speaking competitions, and leadership roles on executive boards pulled him not only toward professional communication but also toward a passion for Drag and performance, which continues to inspire his creative, empathetic approach.
Scott takes a deeply humanized approach to communication therapy, and centres the emotions, experiences, and individuality of each person. He provides a supportive and reflective space for anyone looking to reconnect with their voice, build confidence, and explore the ways communication shapes identity. Scott meets people where they are, offering guidance, individualized support, and a touch of East Coast flair.
