Singing Voice Therapy
Even subtle changes in vocal function can affect stamina, expressiveness, and reliability for singers.
We provide online singing voice therapy across Toronto and Ontario, supporting singers experiencing vocal fatigue, strain, injury, or reduced reliability. This work focuses on restoring vocal function, improving efficiency, and building the strength and endurance needed for performance.
Singing voice therapy integrates clinical voice therapy with singing pedagogy to support both vocal health and performance capacity. We help rebalance vocal coordination and develop more efficient voice use across range, flexibility, and control.
Singing Voice Therapy vs. Singing Lessons
Singing voice therapy is not the same as singing lessons.
While singing lessons focus on learning technique, musicality, repertoire, and performance, singing voice therapy focuses on vocal health, function, and efficiency.
In singing voice therapy, we:
-
focus on vocal coordination, balance, and efficiency
-
work with small segments of sound or song, rather than full performance pieces
-
address fatigue, strain, and instability at their source
-
support recovery from vocal injury, illness, or voice changes
-
may integrate speaking and singing voice work, as they rely on the same system
This approach supports long-term vocal reliability, stamina, and control.
Singing voice therapy can complement singing lessons or be used as a standalone approach for vocal rehabilitation and performance support.
